Glitch Flora examines the symbiosis between the heavy and permanent nature of gold, crafted and refined by the human hand; and the fleeting yet vivid life of a flower. Every image was created using one flower, one piece of Bijules jewelry, and a flatbed scanner. Each was captured in one take using no digital compositing. Living in the age of artificial intelligence, we wanted to create imagery using an analog method as both a commentary and a form of resistance to the automation of the creative process. To also serve as a powerful reminder of the resourcefulness and boundless creativity of the human mind.
